Alice Homan (Osborne) Stone Papers, 1898-1933.

Alice Homan (Osborne) Stone was the Librarian at the Salem Athenaeum in Salem, MA, for 60 years. This collection includes letters and documents pertaining to her and her husband, Arthur Robinson Stone. Documents include funeral bills for Mrs. Stone's father, Horace Osborne (1825-1907); stable bills; legal documents pertaining to an injury Mrs. Stone incurred from debris falling from a building in the Leavitt Block in Salem; and pages from Mary Augusta (Osborne) Russell's family bible. Volume 1 is a scrapbook of programs from musical and dramatic events attended by Mrs. Stone (1899-1922). Volume 2 is a scrapbook of Arthur Robinson Stone's column in the Salem Gazette (1892-1893).
